Saturday 25th January – Interdiv Friendly
Complete United U13 secured a well-earned 4-2 victory over Petersfield Town Rapids in a competitive interdivisional friendly match on Saturday. The game proved to be a valuable opportunity for the team to experiment with a new formation, and the lads adapted to it excellently, showing great promise as they continued to build on their attacking play.
Despite the odds being slightly stacked against them, with only 11 players available on the day and Jake carrying an injury (which forced him off just before halftime), Complete United displayed resilience and determination. The team pushed forward and created plenty of chances, resulting in some fantastic goals.
Noah was on fire, bagging a brace, while Connor and Rylan also got their names on the scoresheet. Their combined efforts, along with a solid team performance, ensured a 4-2 victory, giving the team a deserved win.
The standout performer of the match was Kelen, who was awarded Man of the Match for his excellent understanding of his role in the new formation. Kelen’s composure and awareness in both defensive and offensive situations made a real difference on the pitch, and his contribution was key to the team’s success.
With league action returning next week, the lads can take great confidence from this performance as they head back into their regular competition. A big well done to all involved!
